Liu Shaoqi (b. November 24, 1898-d. November 12, 1969) was a Chinese politician, statesman and theorist. Shoaqi grew into power during Zedong's time of power. He quickly was betrayed by China in around the later 1960s and was described as a traitor because of his point of view to the country. One important reason is that Mao Zedong saw Liu as a threat. He quickly was infamous in around the 1960s and died in a prison under Harsh Treatment under the Red Guards ordered by Zedong.
